Specialty Coffee
Ratio belongs to Brent, an Australian who brought Melbourne coffee to Salzburg. He roasts his own beans, the roasts keep changing, and the flat white is the reason a lot of people here work out for the first time what specialty coffee means. Plus vegan cakes and small things to eat. Pared-back inside, relaxed in tone.

Local from Salzburg
On sunny days I take one of the small tables outside on the Linzer Gasse, the upper end is quieter than down by the Platzl. With the flat white, the vegan banana bread, that is the combination. Oat milk costs nothing extra, and if you go for filter coffee you get to pick the bean at the bar.
Specialty coffee from their own roastery with beans that keep changing, plus snacks and homemade cakes, often vegan or gluten-free. Third wave, but without the lecture.
You pay more for a coffee here than in a traditional coffee house. For beans of this quality and the work behind them, that is fair.
Linzer Gasse 72a, in the upper and quieter part of the lane. A few minutes on foot from the old town, a good stop after the Kapuzinerberg.
