Viewpoint
A narrow wooden jetty that runs far out into the Fuschlsee, and from the end you have water around you and the mountains all the way round. From the car park at the Hofer Badestrand it's a quarter of an hour, thirty minutes there and back. The way there follows the shore, the jetty itself is narrow and low, and at the end there is nothing left between you and the water.

I drive out early in the morning, then the water is still and the jetty is yours alone. Take something to eat and sit down at the end, it's the best breakfast spot on the lake. For parking at the Hofer Badestrand, reckon on four euros for the day.
Thirty minutes there and back, 1.4 kilometres and hardly any gradient. A stroll, nothing more, and no issue with children either.
All year. In summer green shore and warm water, in autumn colourful leaves, in winter snow on the planks.
At the western end of the Fuschlsee near Hof, around twenty minutes from Salzburg. You park at the Hofer Badestrand, or take bus 150 to Hof and walk a good twenty minutes from there.
