About
Right on Linzergasse, behind a wrought-iron gate, sits one of the city's quietest spots. St. Sebastian Cemetery is lined with 88 arcade tombs, and at its center stands the mausoleum of Prince-Archbishop Wolf Dietrich. Constanze Mozart is buried here, as is Paracelsus. The cemetery is no museum - it's still in active use today, exclusively for urn burials. Free to enter, no crowds, lots of history.

I prefer going in through the stairway entrance from the church rather than the main gate. That's where you'll find the tomb of Paracelsus - an 18th-century obelisk that most people miss because it's not in the main cemetery courtyard. Once you're inside, take a moment to read the inscriptions in the arcades. The German on them predates several spelling reforms.
