Action & fun
Before the lifts open for everyone, you ride the Gipfelbahn in Dorfgastein up to the Fulseck at over 2,000 metres and roll down the freshly groomed piste on a kart to the mid station. The slope is yours, the meeting time is half past seven and nobody else is up there. It costs 39 euros, and the ride up and the kart are included. Afterwards you go back up by gondola and into a normal ski day.

I lay everything out the evening before: gloves, goggles, a warm layer underneath. At half past seven on the mountain you don't want to be searching for anything. I leave my ski gear in the car, then I'm ready to go the moment the lifts open. And if there's wind, dress warmer than you think.
About an hour from the valley station and back: gondola up, short briefing, run down to the mid station, gondola back. You don't need any skill, they explain braking and steering up there. The minimum age is 14.
Early winter, when the pistes are groomed and regular skiing hasn't started yet. It runs in the morning, meeting time is half past seven.
